Refund & Cancellation Policy
This policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for TechMax orders. We've tried to write it in plain language, without being one-sided against customers.
Cancellation Before Service Starts
You may request cancellation before your purchased service begins. If TechMax has not yet begun diagnosis, troubleshooting, consultation, configuration, or other service work, your request will generally qualify for cancellation and refund, subject to the circumstances of your order and applicable law.
After Service Has Started
Once diagnosis, remote troubleshooting, consultation, configuration, or other agreed work has begun, the service is considered started. A cancellation or refund request made after this point will be evaluated based on:
- Work already completed
- Technician time already used
- Service already delivered
- Resources already committed
- The remaining, undelivered portion of the service
Where appropriate, the undelivered portion of a service may qualify for a partial refund.
Completed Services
Services that have been fully performed are generally not refundable simply because you later decide you no longer want the service. Nothing in this policy removes any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
Unresolved Technical Problems
We do not guarantee that every technology problem can be resolved remotely. Some issues may require physical repair, replacement parts, manufacturer service, ISP assistance, software-vendor assistance, or local/on-site service.
If TechMax determines that your requested work cannot reasonably be completed remotely, we will review the work actually performed and determine an appropriate resolution based on the circumstances. This may include additional troubleshooting, alternative recommendations, a partial refund for the undelivered portion, or a full refund where appropriate.
Support Plans
For term-based or scoped plans, your order confirmation and service description will state the plan's term, service scope, device allowance, and any applicable cancellation conditions. TechMax does not claim automatic renewal unless it is actually implemented and clearly authorized by you at the time of purchase.
Custom Quoted Services
Custom service orders are evaluated according to the approved service description, the approved amount, the agreed scope, the work actually performed, technician time used, service already delivered, and the undelivered portion of the service.
Duplicate or Incorrect Charges
If you believe you were charged incorrectly or more than once, please contact TechMax promptly. We will investigate and correct verified billing errors.
Requesting a Cancellation or Refund
To request a cancellation or refund, please contact TechMax with the following:
- Customer Name
- Order Number
- Purchase Email
- Service Purchased
- Reason for Request
Use our Contact page and select "Cancellation / Refund" as the topic.
Refund Method
Approved refunds are normally returned through the original payment method where reasonably possible. Your bank, card provider, or payment service may require additional time to process the refund after TechMax submits it. We cannot promise instant settlement.
Billing Disputes
If you believe there is a billing or service problem, please contact TechMax so we can investigate. You are not prohibited from contacting your card issuer, and TechMax does not threaten customers regarding chargebacks.
Consumer Rights
Nothing in this policy limits any rights that cannot legally be excluded under applicable consumer-protection law.
